DIXFIELD — Graveside services with Military Honors for Mr. George A. Virgin Sr. of Dixfield were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Dixfield, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques officiating. The poem “To a Soldier,” written by Kerstin Gardner was read by the Rev. Alfred Jacques. Military Honors were presented by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta and Honor Guard with Colors were represented by Brenda Tracy from the American Legion Auxiliary, Fairbanks, Alaska, and by the Rev. Bill Adams from the American Legion, Gorham, N.H. A reception followed at the home of George A. Virgin Sr. in Dixfield. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
