CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Local artists are showing their art at Carrabassett Valley Public Library this summer.

There will be a wine and cheese reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, in the Begin Family Community Room. Guests can meet the artists and celebrate their artwork. The event is free and open to the public.

Exhibiting artists include Betsy Bass, Karen Campbell, Katie Maloney, John Orcutt, Greg Thomas, Patty Thomas, Patty Ritzo, Isaac White and Jessica Williams.

The Community Center will share any artwork for the community to enjoy. It requests a showing time of two months. Display periods include, September, October, November, December, January, February, March and April.

Included is an artist reception usually planned for a late Friday afternoon/evening during the first month of the exhibit.

Reservations may be made up to two years in advance. A two-month notice is requested if the show is canceled or postponed.
