1946 – 2016
LEWISTON — Earle Francis Abbott, better known as “Bud”, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Sumner on Dec. 13, 1946, the son of the late Sidney and Alma (Davenport) Abbott.
Bud married Linda (Morin) and they shared a loving marriage of 48 years. He was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association and the Veterans Association. Bud was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. After the military, he was a blacksmith and computer technician and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hiking, building computers and being with friends and family. Bud always had to be doing something, and when he was, he preferred it to be outdoors.
Bud is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Eren and her husband, Greg, of Tampa, Fla.; his brother, Sidney and his wife, Gerry, of West Paris; his three grandchildren, Kate, Grace and Declan; his two nephews, Dannie and Clay; and his niece, Vicki.
He was predeceased by his parents.
