STRONG — This year’s annual Bean Hole Bean Supper will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, on the Strong Beach on Porter Lake.

Franklin County’s own ukulele band the Merry Plinksters will perform.

The potluck supper is open to the public.

Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 11, and free for those younger than 5. Proceeds benefit the Porter Lake Association.

DURHAM — There will be a barbecue chicken supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Durham Congregational Church, 773 Royalsborough Road.

Cost is $9 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.

Proceeds benefit the church.

WILTON — The East Wilton Grange hosts a dinner and open mic night the first and third Wednesday of the month on Old Route 2. The first in August will be on Saturday, Aug. 6.

The dinner begins at 5 p.m. and costs $5. Open Mic, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m., is free.

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will serve a community casserole supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at 50 Main St., Route 219.

WAYNE — The Cary Library Loon Festival & Lobster Roll Lunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Williams House. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. under the tent. Lunches to go will be available.

There will be a choice of made-to-order lobster meat salad overstuffed on a toasted roll with sides or a chicken salad roll or plate. There will be a peanut butter and jelly option for children.

WILTON — All proceeds from a roast pork dinner hosted by Calzalaio’s Restaurant will benefit the Western Maine Play Museum.

The dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, by the Lion’s tent in Monument Square. The food will be sold from 5 p.m. until sold out. 

Cost: $10 per person. 

GRAY — The American legion will host a bean and casserole public supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at 15 Lewiston Road.

Cost: $8 for adults, $4 for children younger than 12.
