AUBURN — Auburn City Council workshop and regular meeting in the City Council chambers on the second floor of Auburn Hall. The workshop begins at 5:30 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 2
National Night Out, hosted by local police departments, is an opportunity for residents to get out and meet their neighbors and local police.
In Auburn, events begin at 5:30 p.m. at Festival Plaza on Main Street downtown. Festivities include live music, an inflatable bounce house and obstacle course. Hot dogs, lemonade and popcorn from the city’s Marshall Popcorn truck will be available.
In Lewiston, events begin at 5:30 p.m. at Marcotte Park on Jefferson Street and features free food, music, games, arts and crafts.
Wednesday, Aug. 3
LEWISTON — Lewiston-Auburn Bike Ped Committee monthly meeting, 5 p.m. in Lewiston City Hall.
AUBURN — Meeting of the City Council’s advisory committee on Public Safety and Community Services, 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room on the second floor of Auburn Hall.
AUBURN — Community Farmers Market, 5:30-7:30 p.m., on the parking lot between Mechanics Row and Main Street, south of the Mechanics Row Garage.
AUBURN — The Auburn Community Concert Band, conducted by Milt Simon, will continue its 35th season at 7 p.m. in Festival Plaza with the program “The Voice.” The performance is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the event will move to The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco-American Center, 46 Cedar St., Lewiston.

Friday, Aug. 5
AUBURN — Regular meeting of the city’s Community Development Loan Committee, 8:15 a.m. in Auburn Hall.
AUBURN — Auburn Summer Festival will host events around the city through Sunday. Friday’s events include a 10 a.m. basketball clinic at the Hasty Community Center, Boxcar movie night featuring “Finding Nemo” at 7 p.m. in Ingersoll Turf Facility and a disco skate at 8 p.m. in Norway Savings Bank Arena.
Saturday, Aug. 6
AUBURN — Auburn Summer Festival continues at 10 a.m. with a Kids Carnival and vendors at Festival Plaza, a 5K trail run at Mount Apatite Park at 10 a.m., live music at noon at Festival Plaza, food, beer and fireworks at 9 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 7
AUBURN — Auburn Summer Festival continues with sunrise yoga at 6:15 a.m. at Festival Plaza, a fitness run at 8 a.m., pancake breakfast in Great Falls Plaza, a mini-golf tournament at Tabers on Lake Shore Drive and Troy Barnies “Pop-up” Basketball Clinics at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Union Street Gulley.
