Craft day for Coats for Kids 

LEWISTON — Knights of Columbus Council 106 will sponsor a paper crafting and scrap book day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Holy Family Church Hall, Sabattus St.

The event will be hosted by Corinne Saindon. There will be snacks, drawing and two make-and-takes. 

Admission to the event is $35, which includes lunch. The proceeds will benefit Coats for Kids.  Those who bring a pair of mittens, a scarf or a hat will get a ticket for a special drawing. 

Reservations are required by Friday, Aug. 10, by mailing a check payable to KC 106 to James Sutton, P.O. Box 1622, Lewiston, ME 04241-1622.

First Auburn Seniors to meet

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, for a regualar meeting. The steering committee will meet at 10 a.m.

Members attending are asked to bring a bag lunch. Bingo will follow the meeting.

Tickets for the Tot Lot BBQ on Wednesday, Aug. 17, will be for sale for $5. 

There were 47 members present at the last meeting. Attendence winners were Madge Gardner and David LePage; Pot of Gold, Doris Bourgoin, Nancy Hutchinson and Jean Guy Vincent; and 50-50, Charlotte Dyer, Doris Bourgoin and Joan Webb.

Lewiston Bridge club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on July 25 were as follows: first, Jim Gray and Scott Rivard; second, Nancy Lindgren and Richard Balian; third, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; fourth/first in B, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; fifth, Mike Quinn and Mike True; and second in B, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird.

Winners on Tuesday, July 26, were: first, Paul Clement and David Lock; second, Sharron Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; third, Jeanine Kivus and Pat Quinn; and fourth, George Dumas and Rosemarie Goodwin.

Games are played Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed and all are welcome.
