1946 – 2016
GREENE — Gail Elizabeth (Hewins) St. Germain, 70, a resident of Greene, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 3, at her home, following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 25, 1946, in Lewiston, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Durgin) Hewins. Gail was a graduate of Edward Little High School. On Sept. 4, 1964, in Lisbon, she married Gerard St. Germain. Gail worked as an office manager for the past 36 years at Greene Central School, being a second mother to thousands of students.
Gail loved going to garage sales with her mom and friends. She also enjoyed camping, attending bluegrass festivals around the state with her husband or just riding around. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerard St. Germain; her mother, Helen Hewins, both of Greene; her son, Brent St. Germain and his companion, Bridget DeBlois, of Winthrop; daughters, Marcy Luce and her husband, Duane, of Lewiston, and Dori Ann Perry and her husband, Nick, of Norway; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Shane, Cassandra, Livanah, Tyrone, Magnolia, Tatyanna, Ava, Riley and Kaillie; four great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Zoey, Paityn and Oliver; sister, Glenda Johnson and her husband, Howard, of Lewiston; sister-in-law, Phyllis Smith of Turner; and brother-in-law, Larry St. Germain of Canada.
She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Hewins; and her sister, Beverly Greenwood.
