FREEPORT — Maine Audubon has announced Andrew Beahm as its deputy director.

Beahm is a former Maine Audubon board member and chairman who has served in various executive roles at L.L. Bean for the past three decades.

Beahm also has extensive work with nonprofits in Maine. In addition to Maine Audubon, Beahm has served as board president for the Cancer Community Center and Greater Portland Big Brothers/Big Sisters, of which he is a founding trustee. Beahm has also served as a trustee for the Pine Tree Boy Scouts Council, Portland Nordic, and has volunteered in multiple capacities for United Way.

A graduate of the University of Maine system, Beahm is an avid outdoorsman, paddler, runner and cyclist. He lives in Falmouth.
