JAY — “Celtic Revival! …The SKY’S Story” will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Jay Baptist Church, 27 Smith Ave.
The production brings world-class Irish dance to lively Celtic/pop-rock music and songs rich in harmonies. Woven throughout are humorous stories and inspirational testimonies. Each member performs on several instruments and all contribute to the rich vocal harmonies and dance.
On the cold wind-lashed coastlands of Prince Edward Island, the family gathered close around the wood stove, fiddles and guitars in hand. As the snow piled high on wild winter nights, inside hearts were warmed by rhythmical reels and soaring melodies. As the chill gave way to summer, visitors from around the world gathered to hear the SKY Family perform its particular blend of fast-paced Celtic music and Irish dance. The summer concert series grew into coast-to-coast tours across America.
