RANGELEY — A North Berwick couple were injured Wednesday night when they were ejected from a motorcycle after hitting a deer on Route 16 in Oquossoc Village, Police Chief Russell French said Thursday.

Driver Jerald Mulloy, 58, and wife Suzanne Mulloy, 60, were heading south at about 8:35 p.m. when the accident occurred, French said.

The two were not wearing helmets. They suffered head and arm injuries and were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, he said. The injuries were not life-threatening.

The deer was not found and the motorcycle was towed from the scene, French said.
