1961 – 2016

AUBURN — Susan L. Frankhauser, 55, of Monmouth died peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Hospice House in Auburn after a long battle with cancer, with her son by her side.

She was born April 26, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Wayne Frankhauser Sr. and the late Nancy Butcher Frankhauser. She attended Monmouth schools and graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1979; she then attended the Auburn Maine School of Commerce. Susan had a career with Maine DHHS, retiring recently due to ill health. She was an avid crafter and quilter.

Susan is survived by her son, Nicklaos Mocciola of Monmouth; her father, Wayne Frankhauser Sr. of Lewiston; her brother, Wayne Frankhauser Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Pittston; a nephew, Kevin Frankhauser and a niece, Erin Frankhauser, both of Pittston.

She was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Frankhauser.
