Jay Baptist vacation Bible school

JAY — Jay Baptist Church’s vacation Bible school will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, Aug. 15 to 19.

It will be led by Child Evangelism and include music, Bible lessons, missionary stories, crafts and refreshments.

It will conclude at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug, 21, with Music On the Porch.

Christian Women United to meet

PARIS — The Christian Women United luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street.

The guest singer will be Jewel Clark from Bethel.

The cost for the meal is $8 and a free will offering will be taken. All are welcome.

Evangelistic, revival crusade in Auburn

AUBURN — The Rev. Wendell Calder will hold an evangelistic and revival crusade Friday to Sunday, Aug. 19 to 21, at Marston’s Corner Baptist Church, 752 Beech Hill Road.

Friday’s service will be at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday’s service will be preceded by a pot luck supper at 5 p.m.; andSunday services begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. service.

Calder is a graduate of New Brunswick Bible Institute and has served in the pastorate for over 16 years. In 1970 he founded the Living Waters Bible Conference for adults and youth. He served as director for 20 years. He founded Local Church Evangelism in 1975 and he and his wife Joan have served God exclusively in this ministry since 1990. Calder has conducted crusades throughout the U.S. and Canada and several foreign countries as well.
