1959 – 2016
LEWISTON — Mary M. Dzengelewski, 56, a resident of Webster Street, Lewiston, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 12, at Central Maine Medical Center after a long battle with cancer with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Chelsea, Mass., on Sept. 21, 1959, the daughter of Edward L. and Annie L. Adams. Mary was a graduate of Chelsea High School in 1977. She married her husband, Stanley, on June 11, 1983, and together they raised four children. Mary was previously employed with the U.S. Post Office and then was a driver for Western Maine Transportation until her retirement five years ago because of illness.
Her hobbies included gardening her flowers, which she loved, as well as cooking and baking food for her family, which she so much enjoyed. Her greatest love was her family and she will be sadly missed by them all.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Dzengelewski Jr. of Lewiston; three sons, Stanley III and wife, Rachel, of Portland, Christopher and wife, Katherine, of Cambridge, Mass., and Daniel and wife, Destiny, of Lewiston; one daughter, Stephanie Hewko and husband, Sean, of Lewiston; one brother, Edward Adams of Rumford; three sisters, Mae Brown, Karen and Annie Adams, all of Chelsea, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Elise, Daniel, Julian and Chloe. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Marie Dunnington and husband, Jim, of Lewiston, Linda Lynch and husband, Tobin, of Haverhill, Mass., and Gail Brazil of Cape Cod.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, John; and two sisters, Cathy and Rosalie.
