1916 – 2016
LEWISTON — Margaret D. Bradbury, 100, a resident of 540 College St., Lewiston, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Montello Manor following a short illness.
She was born on Montello Street, Lewiston, on Feb. 3, 1916, the daughter of Thomas L. and Florence (Anthoine) Harkins.
Margaret was a longtime member of the former St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles and was a lover of cats.
Margaret was always smiling and was always well known for her smile.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Ayers and husband, Jerome, of Lewiston, Peggy Jackson and husband, David, of McKinney, Texas; also surviving are three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and nine brothers.
Her family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Montello Manor for the wonderful care and compassion given to Margaret.
