1934 – 2016

GREENE — Nathalie R. Veilleux, 82, of Greene died on Monday, Aug. 15, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Greene on March 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Nathan and Margaret (Croteau) Helms. She was educated in local schools.

Nathalie worked as a stitcher for many years at several local shoe shops.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Larry Veilleux of Greene; three daughters, Pauline Howard and husband, Gary, of Winthrop, Priscilla Locke of Auburn, and Barbara McGuire and husband, Geoffrey, of Auburn; a stepdaughter, Michelle Emerson and husband, James, of Auburn; sisters-in-law, Marcia Helms of Leeds, Arlene Cornelio of Jay and Louise Castonguay and husband, Lionel, of Livermore; a brother-in-law, Joseph Murray of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy; two grandchildren; and her five siblings.

The family would like to thank Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, as well as Lola and Dot for the exceptional care they gave to Nathalie in her last days.
