BRYANT POND — The Oxford County Democrats will hold its annual summer barbecue and fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center.

Second Congressional District candidate Emily Cain will be the guest of honor and several candidates and party leaders will attend.

Social hour on the waterfront will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the barbecue in the dining hall. Candidates will then make remarks.

The Democrats held a barbecue on July 31 in recognition of term-limited Reps. Matt Peterson and Paul Gilbert. It was organized by state Sen. John Patrick. Trevor Doirion of Jay was special guest, one of two 17-year-old delegates at the Democratic National Convention.
