NEW SHARON — A benefit brunch with pancakes and more will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Masonic hall on Mercer Road by Pitcher Perfect Tire.

All proceeds will go to the Connie Gilman/Joseph Douin Liver Transplant Fund. Gilman, of Norridgewock, has been diagnosed with liver disease. Douin is donating part of his liver to Gilman.

NORWAY — St. Catherine’s and Christ Episcopal Church are co-sponsoring their annual ice cream social at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, on the lawn of St. Catherine’s, 32 Paris St.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Elks Lodge will serve a lobster and steak feed with three sides Saturday, Aug. 27. 

Cost: $15 for lobster; $10 for steak.

Those attending should bring in an unwrapped toy to receive five raffle tickets for 10 lobsters. The toys will be for the annual kids Christmas party held in December.
