1945 – 2016

AUBURN — Paul Berry, 70, of Sabattus passed away at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice on Monday, Aug. 22.

Paul was born in Lewiston on Sept. 23, 1945, a son of the late Pearl and Beatrice Berry.

Paul was always a working man, learning from a young age the meaning of hard work, mowing fields and performing various tasks around his family’s home. After his return from the service, Paul worked as a truck driver, traveling to all of the lower 48 states, except Oregon and Washington. His career as a driver expanded to operating heavy equipment, specifically a crane, where he set many houses and erected many cellphone towers throughout the state.

Paul enjoyed taking care of his sons. While Cecilia worked, together they would learn about fishing and shooting. Paul was a member of the Lions Club and the Royal River Rod and Gun Club.

Paul is survived by his wife, Cecilia; his sons, Paul and Scott; his sister, Nancy; his grandchildren, Dianna and Logan; a sister-in-law, Elaine; and many cousins.

Paul was predeceased by his parents and brother.
