1948 – 2016

WALES — Ronald W. Brooks, 68, of Wales passed away Monday, Aug. 22, at his home in Wales, with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 27, 1948, in Lewiston, the son of the late Frank Brooks and Ruth Goddard Brooks. Ronald attended school in Sabattus. He worked as a mixer at Webster Rubber Heal Co. in Sabattus.

He loved antiques, junking and lawn sales. He also loved dancing, especially the polka, playing cards and really loved teasing everybody.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Betty Polley Brooks of Wales; his daughter, Diana B. Wing and her husband, Richard, of Wales; his son, Wayne R. Brooks and his wife, Cindy, of Litchfield; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jessica and Mert Parlin of Litchfield, Nicole and Josh Gallagher of Wales, David “Bud” Wing of Wales, Belinda and Mike Baumer of Lisbon, Ashley Brooks and companion, JJ, Adam and Jamie Brooks of Litchfield and Amber Lynn and companion, Ben, of Litchfield; 11 great-grandchildren, he loved them very much; six sisters and their spouses, Sandra and Ron McBride of Otisfield, Nancy and Richard Dumais of Sabattus, Beverly and Alton Edwards of Sabattus, Sheila Brooks of Sabattus, Joy and John Begin of Greene and Debbie Perry of Sabattus; and two brothers, Frank Brooks of Auburn and Steve and Linda Brooks of Lisbon.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, Frank and Ruth Brooks; a baby sister, Carolyne; a brother, Ricky Brooks; and a great-granddaughter, Chevelle Payton.
