RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will present the second annual Western Mountain Photography Show from Sept. 23-25. This multi-faceted weekend celebrates photography and photographers.
There will be a juried competition with awards. The theme is Antique, and photographers may submit up to three images to earn cash prizes in two categories: Color and Black and White. They may also submit for Best Overall. Photographers interested in submitting may visit www.rangeleyarts.org and click on “Photo Show” for guidelines and information. Submissions are digital and the deadline is Sept. 11.
The juried exhibit will be on display in the banquet room of the Rangeley Inn and Tavern from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.
There will be an awards reception at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in the banquet room of the Rangeley Inn and Tavern. This catered public event is where winners are announced and cash prizes awarded. All accepted images will be on display.
A photography show and sale will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Rangeley Inn. Event is rain or shine. Show will highlight photographers’ original work and related vendors. Those wishing to display should visit www.rangeleyarts.org and click on “Photo Show” to apply.
