AUBURN — Ann A. (Bouchard) Pontbriand, 94, died in peace on Wednesday, Aug. 24, surrounded by her family at the Hospice House in Auburn.

Ann was the daughter of the late Methaide and Willie Bouchard of New Brunswick, Canada. Ann was educated in Canada and Auburn.

She worked for many years and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital and she also had many years as a foster parent. Ann also enjoyed traveling  and playing bingo.

Ann is survived by her children, Lorraine Coulombe, Jeanine Labbe, Diane Fecteau and partner, Charles Stroud, and Ron Pontbriand. She will be missed by her many grandchildren Rick, Kathy, Randy, Michelle, Chad, Jeff and Eric. She will also be missed by her 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends; as well as special best friend, Gill.

Ann was predeceased by her late husband, Arthur Pontbriand; her sisters, Jean and Yvette; and brothers, Reggie, Emile and Edmond; and her dear grandson, Dan Coulombe.

Ann’s family would like to extend a thank you to the Sara Frye Residential Care Center. The family would like to also extend a special thank you to the staff at the Hospice House in Auburn for making our mother comfortable in her last days.
