JAY — A local woman was taken by ambulance to a Farmington hospital with possible injuries Monday morning, after her vehicle was rear-ended on Route 4, as she was waiting to turn on to Barbridge Drive.
Carolyn Greeley, 58, of Jay, who was driving north on the road, had stopped and had her left turn signal on when a vehicle behind her driven by Josiah Chapman, 21, of Starks hit the back of her vehicle, officer Fred Buchanan said.
Greeley complained of arm, back and chest pain, he said. A NorthStar EMS ambulance took her to Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Chapman was not injured.
Greeley’s 2013 General Motor Co. Terrain and Chapman’s 2001 Subaru Forester were towed.
Jay Fire/Rescue Department assisted at the scene of the 11:06 a.m. crash.
