OXFORD — Oxford Recreation Center has released its September activities. All take place at 223 King St.
Just Move: 4 to 5 p.m. Sundays. This free class is a beginner’s fitness class. Class focuses on general fitness with core strengthening. Those attending should bring a yoga mat if they have one.
Fit Check: 3:30 p.m. Mondays. This group covers general nutrition and encourages overall health improvements. Free.
Flexibility & Stretching: 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays. This free class helps improve flexibility and overall body toning. Those attending should bring a yoga mat and small hand weights if they have them.
Sewing Club: 6 p.m. Tuesdays. This free group is open to all. Those interested may bring any craft or sewing project they’re working on. There will be 8-foot tables available for any size project.
Nickle bingo: 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays. This seniors-only class uses a deck of cards. Those attending should bring a supply of nickels to play, one for each game. Light snacks and coffee will be served for a donation. There are also occasional special lunches.
Yoga: 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Nikki Pierce teaches this mixed-style yoga class. All family members are welcome. Those who have one should bring a yoga mat; one will be provided if needed. Cost is $5 per class.
Cribbage: 2 p.m. Saturdays. This free group has plenty of decks of cards and cribbage boards. Those who plan on attending don’t need a partner, as there are plenty of participants to partner with.
Crochet Class: 2 p.m. Saturdays. Those who haven’t crocheted before may come and learn for free. Those who already know how may bring their project and join the group. Children are welcome to learn as well. Materials will be provided for free for the first project.
