LIVERMORE FALLS — A Livermore Falls man was charged Thursday with possessing child pornography.
Livermore Falls police, with the assistance of the State Computer Crimes Unit, arrested 36-year-old Christopher Roy at his home at 73 Hunton Loop Road, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Roy is charged with possessing sexually explicit material.
Police said they began investigating Roy two weeks ago after receiving a tip. At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, they went to his home where they seized electronic equipment in connection with the investigation, McCausland said.
Roy was taken to the Police Department where he posted bail and was released, police said. He is due to appear in Lewiston District Court on Nov. 9.
