Promising newcomers: Seniors — Makao Thompson (RB/DB), Noah Carleton (RB), Quinn Guistra (TE/LB), Sean Testa (RB/DB), Nate Everett (RB/DE), Cole Dormand (QB), Caleb Walters (OT/DT).

Season outlook: Many of this year’s starters have very little varsity experience, despite the roster having plenty of seniors. How quickly those players adjust to being varsity starters will be a key to success. Aylward thinks Class B North is as good a league as there is in the state, and he wants his team to be competitive each week. Some of the toughest games will be at the end of the season, when the Cougars hope to be at their best.
