9/11 Memorial Service

NORWAY — Norway Baptist Church will hold a 9/11 Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at 12 Cottage St.

The service will honor those who serve the community and will remember those who have fallen.

Reeds Mill hymn sing scheduled

MADRID — Reeds Mill Church will host its annual hymn sing at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, on Reeds Mill Road.

Since 1978, the September hymn sing has offered an opportunity to enjoy the serenity of the one room, historical church despite the absence of electricity, water and central heat. For an hour, members and guests will “raise the roof with songs of praise and worship.” All are welcome. The kerosene lamps will be lit, but a flashlight is recommended.

Service will dedicate organ

WEST SUMNER — The West Sumner Universalist Church will hold a special service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, to dedicate the new organ donated to the church last month.

Light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome.
