PARIS — AMVETS Post 777 of Oxford Hills has announced it’s an official commemorative partner in the Department of Defense Vietnam War Commemoration.

The commemoration is designed to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the U.S. and to thank and honor the families of these veterans. This includes personnel who were held as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action.

AMVETS will hold a luncheon and ceremony to highlight the service of the armed forces during the Vietnam War from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the hall at 58 East Main St.

Photographer Trish Logan of Veterans Legacy Project will take pictures of veterans and families. Attendees can bring anything they want in the photo, such as a hat, uniform or medal.
