AUBURN — The 10th Annual Bob Boucher Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn.

The race was created to keep Bob’s legacy alive by supporting St. Dom’s athletics. To register, contact the Saint Dominic Academy Alumni/Development Office at 207-782-6911, ext. 2109. The cost to preregister is $20, which includes a T-shirt, and the deadline is Sept. 6.

Registration on race day is $25, and no T-shirt will be included.

Cash prizes will be awarded for top finishers.

Boucher was a longtime teacher, coach and athletic director at Saint Dominic Academy. He possessed a unique talent to teach and coach young athletes to championship levels. During his 25-year career as St. Dom’s hockey coach, the team captured five state titles and he was voted Coach of the Year five times.

Boucher was inducted into the Lewiston-Auburn Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He was also inducted posthumously into the St. Dom’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to their athletic program.
