DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Charter Meeting Room, 59 Main St.

There will be a short business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Dixfield Police Chief Jeff Howe will present a program on personal and homeowner safety for those in the community who would like to be more vigilant in protecting their homes.

The summer gift basket raffle valued at $200 will be drawn at the end of the meeting.

Members, friends and citizens are welcome to attend.
