MINOT — Germain M. Letourneau, 84, of Minot died Sunday, Sept. 4, at his home, with his family by his side.
Born in Albany, Vt., Sept. 14, 1931, a son of the late Eugene S. and Emerentienne Roy Letourneau, he attended St. Dominic High School.
He was a member of St. Theresa of Calcutta Parish at Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanic Falls and was past president of the Lewiston-Auburn Richelieu Club.
Germain worked for more than 30 years as a superintendent at Bates Mfg. Co., retiring in 1996. He enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. Germain will be remembered for his big heart and his love for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanne R. Hemond of Minot; his children, Donald Letourneau of South Paris, Diane (Ron) Taglienti of Auburn, Patricia (Robert) Cloutier of Lewiston, Marc (Sue) Letourneau of Virginia Beach, Va., Jacqueline Rancourt of Fredericksburg, Va., Gerald (Wanda) Letourneau of Windham, Gregory (Mary) Letourneau of Minot; grandchildren, Craig (Kristina), Matt, Chelsea, Kyleigh, Nicholas, Samantha, Nadine, Katherine and Ethan Letourneau, Ben (Stacey) Morin, Camille (Kyle) Bussiere, Sam Cloutier, Zachary (Colleen) Alden, Jacob, Evena and Jocelyn Rancourt; five great-grandchildren, Khloe, Cole, Alexia, Gage and Zayla; sisters and brothers, Yvette Dubuc, Raymond Letourneau, Lorraine (Richard) Lebourdais, Carmen Chapman, Robert (Rita) Letourneau; and sister-in-law, Fernande Letourneau.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Norman; his sisters, Francoise, Marie, Rollande, Marie Belle and Rita.
