LEWISTON — Lifetree Cafe will explore bias in the news media at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at 1919 Lisbon Road.
The program, “Bias: What’s the Media’s Agenda?” features filmed interviews with three current and former journalists discussing the current state of bias in the media.
“I would say this is the most unprofessional period of American journalism I can recall in the last 30 years,” said David Aikman, a former correspondent for TIME. “It’s just been extraordinarily unquestioning and dismissive of opposition viewpoints.”
During the program, participants will have an opportunity to discuss what level of tilt they see in the news media.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
