1937 – 2016

AUBURN — Joline Fortier Gagne, 79, of Garcelon St., Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Hospice House after a long illness.

She was born in Auburn on Feb. 17, 1937, the daughter of John Charles and Jeanne (Bernier) Fortier.

In 1955, Joline married her husband and soulmate of 60 years, Gerard.

She loved playing tennis with her friends and grandchildren. She and her husband also enjoyed spending time at Old Orchard Beach in their retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Gerard Gagne; three sons, Ron and his wife, Terry, Michael and his wife, Jean, and Gerard and his wife, Carmelita; and two daughters, Joline Delisle, and Catherine Craig and her husband, Dean.; brother, Raymond Fortier; and two sisters, Monique Grenier, and Florette Roux. Joline loved and enjoyed her 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
