LITCHFIELD — A car crashed into two utility poles early Saturday morning, cutting power to more than 1,000 customers in four towns.
According to a Central Maine Power spokeswoman, a car hit the two poles on Oak Hill Road shortly before 2 a.m. The crash knocked out electricity to 1,060 customers in Bowdoin, Litchfield, Monmouth and Wales.
It took three crews seven hours to restore power.
The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office handled the crash. The sheriff’s office did not immediately return a request for information Saturday.
