Louise Gagne of Warren Avenue in Lewiston has been volunteering at the Great Falls Balloon Festival since the beginning. She has been on the chase team of many balloons, including her friends at Damn Yankee Balloons, based in Dixfield. Her husband, Marcel, decided to build a fence on the front lawn of his home on Warren Avenue in Lewiston and display depictions of the balloons that they have had personal experiences with throughout the years, both locally and at other balloon festivals. Many people correctly identified the fence, which Gagne takes down in the winter. In a random drawing, Paul St.Pierre of Lewiston was chosen as the winner of a $20 Hannaford Supermarkets gift card.
