1944 – 2016
LEWISTON — Roy James Tetreault, 72, of St. Croix Street, died Friday, Sept. 9, at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Lewiston on March 12, 1944, he was a son of Caroll and Evelyn Suitter Maguire. He was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1963.
He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and a member of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council. Roy worked in plumbing for Nason’s Plumbing Inc. prior to his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, building stuff, gardening, barbecues and watching his sons play sports. Roy will be remembered for his love of family, hard work and positive outlook on life.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joanne C. Jalbert of Lewiston, whom he married at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Sept. 18, 1971; his sons, Kevin Tetreault of Lewiston, Jeff Tetreault and wife, Heather, of Minot; his grandchildren, Jack and Paige Tetreault; his brothers, Roger Maguire and Harry Fotakis; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Paulette Jalbert.
