1925 – 2016

NORWAY — Rovena A. Peckham, 91, of Norway, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Andover, Mass., on June 23, 1925, a daughter of Floyd W. and Gertrude Mae (Cobb) Eastman. She attended schools in Andover and graduated from Punchard High School in 1943. In 1946 she graduated from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in the rehabilitation unit at Florida Hospital in Orlando for 25 years. Rovena moved to Maine in 2000 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris Hill.

Surviving are three sons, Jed Peckham of Orlando, Fla., Joel Peckham of South Shaftsbury, Vt., and Todd Peckham of Norway; her daughter, Maury Lynn Blake and her husband, Ron, of Norway; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick C. Eastman; and a sister, Elizabeth C. Smith.
