1965 – 2016

AUBURN — David H. Washburn, 51, a resident of Valview Drive, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 8, at his residence.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 31, 1965, the son of Robert F. and Iona (Moody) Washburn.

David was a graduate of the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf in Falmouth. He was employed for 26 years for Bath Iron Works in Bath as a welder.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, especially with his son, Christopher. He also enjoyed motorcycling, camping and the great outdoors. His hobbies also included carpentry and doing projects around the yard because he always enjoyed keeping busy.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle, of Lisbon; his son, Christopher D. Washburn of Auburn; his two brothers, Greg Washburn and wife, Lucie, of Lewiston, and Stephen Washburn and wife, Angella, of Greene; and one sister, Rhonda Washburn of Auburn.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Iona.
