Lucas Perry was key for the Hornets (2-1-1), turning aside 10 shots in a solid effort. Cam Bell made 20 saves for the Tigers (1-3).

Sacopee Valley 3, Buckfield 1

BUCKFIELD — Kris Fossum led a trio of players who recorded goals Tuesday as Sacopee Valley hustled to a 3-1 victory over Buckfield in MVC boys’ soccer action. 

Michael Murphy and Brandon Burnell also tallied for the Hawks (1-0-1) to complete the scoring. Ethan Jackson scored the Bucks’ (1-1-1) lone goal, in the second half. 

Cam Cyr made 15 saves for Sacopee Valley, while Jake Kraske (5) and Dylan Harvey (4) combined to deflect nine shots for Buckfield. 

Monmouth 7, Dirigo 0

MONMOUTH — Junior striker Avery Pomerleau scored five goals to lead Monmouth to a 7-0 victory over Dirigo in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Cougars (0-4) goalie Justin Grignon defended well in the first 18 minutes before the Mustangs (4-0) broke through and Pomerleau collected four of his five goals in the first half.

Hunter Richardson contributed to the Monmouth offense with four assists.

Goalie Bradley Neal only needed one save in net for Monmouth in the winning effort.

Mt. Blue 5, Oxford Hills 1

FARMINGTON — Senior left midfielder Andrew Haskell scored the final goal as Mt. Blue toppled Oxford Hills in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore striker Spencer Strong scored the first goal of the game in the second minute to put the Vikings on top early.

The Cougars (1-1-2) responded with five unanswered goals on dominating offense.

Goalie Tucker Carleton made two saves to earn the win in net for Mt. Blue.

Cape Elizabeth 13, Poland 0

POLAND — Connor Thoreck, Quinn Hewitt and Alec Riggle each scored a pair of goals as Cape Elizabeth sailed to a 13-0 victory over Poland in boys’ soccer action Tueady afternoon.

Brewer 0, Edward Little 0, 2OT

AUBURN — Subdued offense was the theme Tuesday as Brewer and Edward Little settled for a 0-0 deadlock in a KVAC field hockey matchup.

The Red Eddies (4-1-1) outshot their opponents 4-2, yet failed to find the net through regulation and two overtime sessions.

Delaney Morneau and Emmy Lahua each played a half in goal for Edward Little and made one save apiece, while Michelle Maybury (1) and Jennah Geiser (3) combined to turn aside four shots for the Witches (2-2-2).

Leavitt 12, Lincoln 0

TURNER — Alana Hartford registered a hat trick Tuesday to lead Leavitt to a 12-0 rout over Lincoln in field hockey action Tuesday. 

Allie Belaire and Kayla Leclerc chipped in for the Hornets (4-1) with two goals each, while Madeline Hanscom, Samantha Martineau, Paige Matheux, Kaitlyn Leclerc and Bailey Derocher also tallied to complete the scoring. 

Hailey Demascio and Mallory Casey didn’t need a single save to notch the shutout, while Zoey Sewell turned aside 31 shots between the posts for Lincoln (0-4). 

Lewiston 5, Bangor 1

BANGOR — After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, Lewiston added two more goals in the second frame to secure a 5-1 field hockey win over Bangor on Tuesday.

Habbon Abdillahi led the Blue Devils (1-5) with two goals, while Kasey Talarico, Erin Lachance and Lindsay Morin also tallied. Lexi Cunningham scored the Rams’ lone goal.

Ashley Cronkhite made 12 saves for Lewiston, while Kahia Maheux turned aside 15 shots Bangor.  

Mt. Blue 2, Oxford Hills 1

FARMINGTON — Hannah Minns converted a pass from Leah St. Laurent in the second half to give Mt. Blue a 2-1 field hockey victory over Oxford Hills.

Samantha Ellis gave the Cougars a 1-0 advantage in the first frame off an assist from Ellie Pelletier. Morgan Richardson tallied for the Vikings in the first frame. 

Erika McArthur made 12 saves for Mt. Blue, while Anna Huff deflected an impressive 23 shots for Oxford Hills.  

Winslow 3, Spruce Mountain 2

JAY — Silver Clokey scored with 10 minutes remaining in regulation to give Winslow a 3-2 field hockey victory over Spruce Mountain on Tuesday. 

Beth Loveley and Maddie Beckwith also tallied for the Black Raiders (3-2) to complete the scoring. 

Alex Bessey had both goals for the Phoenix (3-2), the second coming less than a minutes from the final whistle.

Hope Linkin made six saves for Winslow, while Sydney Shaffer turned aside five shots for Spruce Mountain.

Erskine 8, Spruce Mountain 0

JAY — Lauren Wood netted four goals to propel Erskine to a 8-0 rout over Spruce Mountain in girls’ soccer action Tuesday. 

Alana York, Kaylee Porter, Jenna Lully and Lydia Boucher also scored for Erskine. 

Caitlin Labbe needed only one save to preserve the shutout, while Calley Baker turned aside 21 shots for the Phoenix. 

Oak Hill 3, Winthrop 1

WALES — After starting the second half at a 1-1 stalemate, the Oak Hill girls’ soccer team came up with a pair of key goals to come away with a 3-1 victory over Winthrop on Tuesday. 

Kierra Rolston led the Raiders (3-1-1) with two goals. Sydney Drew also scored. Jillian Schmelzer scored the Ramblers’ (1-2-1) lone goal in the first frame.

Shie Smith made 13 saves for Oak Hill, while Anna Dodge deflected four shots for Winthrop. 

Carrabec 5, Mountain Valley 3

RUMFORD — Bailey Murphy had a pair of goals to lead Carrabec to a 5-3 win over Mountain Valley in an MVC girls’ soccer contest.

Skye Welch, Lauren Chestnut and Sophia Tsimekles each had a goal in the victory while Madolynn Hughes had an assist on Chestnut’s goal.

Abby Mazza and Taylor Henry each had a goal and an assist for the Falcons while Julia Perry had a goal.

Kelsey Creamer made 17 saves for the Cobras (1-3-1), while Emily Laubauskas and Lauren Sterling combined to stop 15 shots for the Falcons (1-3).

Monmouth 9, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD — Freshman striker Audrey Fletcher notched a hat trick to lead Monmouth to a 9-0 shutout victory over Dirigo in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

The undefeated Mustangs (5-0) posted four goals in the first half. Fletcher added a pair of assists in the effort.

Goalie Mckenzie Ladd made 13 saves for the Cougars (1-4), while goalie Katie Harris prevented four to earn the shutout in net for Monmouth.

Sacopee Valley 6, St. Dom’s 0

AUBURN — Senior forward McKenzie Murphy booted a hat trick as Sacopee Valley blanked St. Dom’s 6-0 in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Hawks (3-0) swooped down over for the first seven minutes and took a 3-0 halftime lead.

Goalie Madison Day made two saves for Sacopee Valley before exiting the game due to an injury. Goalie Abbie Castonguay stopped 10 shots for the Saints (1-3) in the losing effort.

Leavitt 2, Gardiner 1 (2OT)

GARDINER — Junior fullback Rebecca Fogg scored with just two-tenths of a second remaining in double overtime as Leavitt edged Gardiner 2-1 in KVAC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Senior striker Mary Toman evened up the contest at 1-1 in the first half for the Tigers (1-3).

The Hornets (2-1-1) put the ball in play on a corner with 10 seconds remaining in the second overtime. And, Fogg managed to redirect and tap it in just before the buzzer.

Goalie Tabitha Hembree made 10 saves for Gardiner, while goalie Shelby Varney defended six to earn the win in net for Leavitt.

Cape Elizabeth 8, Poland 1

CAPE ELIZABETH — Senior forward Mariah Deschino collected a hat trick as Cape Elizabeth jammed Poland 8-1 in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Deschino posted all three of the Capers’ (2-2) first half goals for a 3-0 halftime lead. Cape Elizabeth executed a disciplined passing game and finished off nicely for eight goals.

Goalie Madison Simard had 16 saves for the Knights (1-3), while goalie Grace Roberts repelled four shots to earn the win in net for Cape Elizabeth.

Kennebunk 3, Gray-New Gloucester 1

KENNEBUNK — Hallie Schwartzman netted the eventual game-winning goal as Kennebunk dispatched Gray-New Gloucester 3-1 in girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams (3-1) led 1-0 at the half. Caitlin Wolff and Sarah Thill rounded out the scoring for Kennebunk.

Alexa Thayer scored the lone Patriot (2-1) goal in the second half.

Goalies Sydney Rogrigues and Chelsea Davis combined for eight saves for Gray-New Gloucester, while goalie Adia Grogan prevented one to earn the win in net for Kennebunk.
