1929 – 2016
LEWISTON — Rita Gervais, 87, of Lewiston, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 17, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 7, 1929 and was raised by her grandparents, Charles and Marie Louise Ouellette.
Rita worked at Community Credit Union for many years. She always enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, and loved adventures to a local fishing spot or casino.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Emerick Gervais; a daughter, Linda Tanguay-Morneault and her husband, Roger; granddaughters, Tina Cote and her husband, Jeff, Veronica Deschenes and her husband, Rick, and Allysyn Gervais. Rita also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Amber, Heaven, Autumn, Avren, Rhys and Cayden; and great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Vada.
Rita was predeceased by her children, James Gervais and Carol Gervais; and son-in-law, Tank Tanguay.
