CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carmen Bernier Dam, 92, of Auburn died Saturday, Sept. 17, at the home of her daughter, Carlene Ashley in Charlotte, N.C.

She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 14, 1923, the daughter of Anna Bolduc Bernier and Alphonse Bernier. She was an enthusiastic golfer and enjoyed spending time at her camp at Flying Pond, Mt. Vernon with her husband, George and her close family in the summers.

She was a bookkeeper for her husband’s medical practice and a homemaker. She loved living at Schooner Estates in Auburn.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carlene Ashley and Marie Dam; and three granddaughters, Janelle Ashley, Mikaela Coston and Monique Coston.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Alphonse Bernier; her two brothers, Walter and Rene Bernier; her four sisters, Annette Veilleux, Connie Levesque, Lucille Thibodeau and Jeanine Croft; her great-aunt, Mary Bolduc; and her husband of 45 years, George R. Dam.
