1946 – 2016
SPRING HILL, Fla. — Arlo Gary Wadsworth, 70, of Spring Hill, Fla., lost his courageous year-long battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, Sept. 19.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born in Rockland on July 26, 1946, to Harold and Lottie Wadsworth. Arlo was married to his beloved wife, Anna, on Dec. 5, 1964. For 51 years they shared a happy home and raised their four kids together.
In 2008, Arlo retired after 46 years of working construction in the state of Maine and Anna and Arlo moved to their new home in Florida. Arlo loved country music and over the years, he accumulated a vinyl record collection of over 4,000 records. Arlo loved his dog, Nicole. He was of the Christian faith and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna J. Wadsworth; daughter, Penny Jackson and her husband, Mike; daughter, Cindy Dustin and her husband, Craig; son, Gary Wadsworth and his wife, Miranda; daughter, Caroline Brown and significant other, Wayne Ayotte; brothers, Clayton Wadsworth, Dennis Wadsworth, Malcolm Wadsworth; and sister-in-law, Orlene; sister, Beulah Colby and brother-in-law, Norman; eight grandchildren: Amy, Rachel, Caitlin, Taylor, Tia, Kurtis, Tessa and Teagan; and four great-grandchildren: Jack, Mia, Jacob and Aubree.
