SABATTUS — The residents of RSU 4 Wednesday voted 361-227 in favor of an $18.79 million school budget for 2016-17.

Sabattus residents voted 137-94; Litchfield voted 118-107; and Wales voted 106-26.

The original budget of $18.9 million proposed in June was rejected, while an $18.8 million spending plan was rejected in July. In August, voters approved in a preliminary vote the $18.79 million budget after $7,000 was cut from Superintendent Jim Hodgkin’s salary.
