Bates College students, faculty, staff and alumni can now make travel plans on campus. Rumford Travel Service, owned by J. Harold McQuade, has opened a full-service office on the campus, its second campus office in Maine, according to Paul Brochu, general manager. The first for them in the state appeared at Colby College in Waterville in 1985. “Because the bulk of our business is collegiate and student travel, we’re more in touch with the bargains available for them,” Brochu said. “We really want to plan and work for what’s in the best interest of the school.”
