Hokom, of Freedom, California, fired rounds of 59 and 55 on the par-60 Hawk course Saturday, the easier of the two courses being used this weekend. That followed a round of 1-under 61 on the tougher Eagle track on Friday.

The top players switch back to Eagle for the fourth and final round on Sunday.

Madison Walker of Pensacola, Florida, followed a 68 on Friday with rounds of 56 and 55 on Saturday to move into a tie for second place alongside Paige Pierce of Plano, Texas. They are four back of Hokom at 3-under 179.

Maine pro Nicole Dionisio had a tough round Friday with a 74 on Eagle, but rebounded well Saturday with rounds of 63 and 64 on Hawk to move into 13th position in the open division.

In the largest division, and that with the most Maine players, Dominique Ross of Nashua, New Hampshire holds a one-shot lead over Cheneille Young of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Ross had a 69 on the first day on the Hawk course, and followed that with rounds of 82 and 76 on the tougher Eagle track on Saturday.

Julie Footer of Biddeford and Megan Norton of New Gloucester are the top Maine golfers in that division through three rounds, sitting in a tie for sixth at 235, eight back of Ross. Turner’s Jessi Brooks, whose son, Landon, recently won the 6-and-under division at the men’s world championships, is in a tie for 10th at 240.

Other leaders through three rounds include Carrie Berlogar in Masters, Kelly Jenkins in Grandmasters, Meadow Hartwell in Advanced, Susan Schmid in Advanced Masters, Caryn Shearer in Advanced Grandmasters, Denise Gentry in Advanced Senior Grandmasters, Janny Darling in Advanced Legends, Rosanne Marshall in Recreational, Jaimie Nolan in Novice, and Zoey Rackler-Enman in Junior II girls.
