LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library will hold its first Patrol Appreciation Day during regular hours on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The day will begin with a special story time and craft at 10 a.m. to show appreciation for younger patrons. At 10:30 a.m., Lego Club will build its latest creations to display in the library.
There will be Halloween-themed activities. First is the spooky polymer clay workshop at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, for ages 8 and older. Attendees can make creepy critters out of polymer clay to take home for decoration. Those interested should contact the library to register.
There will be a Halloween Spooktacular at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Participants are encouraged to wear a costume and join in the stories, games, crafts and Halloween fun.
The library’s book club will explore an eerie tale this month as it continues its series on Irish fiction. This month’s selection is Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” The discussion will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. Copies of the book are available by contacting the library.
Knit/Crochet will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. Beginners and seasoned knitters and crocheters are encouraged to bring projects or ideas. Materials will be available at the library.
Continuing programs include Preschool Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, featuring stories, songs, activities and crafts. Teen Writers will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. This group is open to teen creative writers 12 and older.
The library will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 11, due to Columbus Day.
