Mind Body Spirit Festival
FARMINGTON — Mind Body Spirit Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the University of Maine at Farmington Student Center, 111 South St.
The festival will feature holistic health practitioners of Reiki, reflexology, and other energy healing therapies, henna body art, natural and organic skin care products, fashionable leggings and every day clothing, crystals, gems and jewelry, from psychics and mediums an animal communicator, a medical intuitive, metaphysical items, a variety of enlightening workshops and more.
Admission is $5; workshop participation is an addition cost.

Texas Hold’em Tournaments
LOCKE MILLS — Jackson-Silver Post 68 will host two Texas Hold’em Tournaments in October. They will be held Saturdays, Oct. 1 and Oct. 22, at 595 Gore Road.
Doors will open at 11 a.m., and games will begin at 1 p.m. There will be a 50/50 raffle, meals and beverages available. Players may bring their own beverages.

Harvest Day in Wilton
WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library will host its fifth annual Harvest Day from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
There will be cider press, honeybees, angora rabbits, snacks and a craft for children.
The library now has a fenced-in outdoor space.
The public is invited.
Acorns: breads, recipes and more
TEMPLE — The Koviashuvik Local Living School will share the many uses of acorns during a workshop set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
The acorn is a bountiful, ancient staple of humanity, and people eat hundreds of pounds of this real food every year. The class will discuss harvesting, drying, shelling, leaching and grinding acorns. It will finish by baking and sharing recipes.

Fall Fair & Flea Market
AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will host its Fall Fair & Flea Market Saturday, Oct. 1.
Anyone wishing may rent a table for $10 to sell items. All vendors are welcome.
The doors will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be items of all kinds and a concession stand for donuts and coffee at breakfast and hot dogs, chips and water for lunch.

JFM, Navigator ticket raffle
AUBURN — The ticket raffle to benefit the the JFM Life Center and Navigator programs will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at Central Maine Community College on Turner St.
Doors will open at noon, and drawings will begin at 2 p.m. Winners must be present to win.
There will be more than 300 prizes donated by area businesses including gift cards for fuel, restaurants and stores, tickets to parks, amusements, plays and sporting events and merchandise. Big ticket items include autographed sports memorabilia, cash, a hot air balloon ride and more.
Tickets may be purchased at the door and cost $5 for 20 tickets, $10 for 40, $20 for 90 and $40 for 250. There will be refreshments and a 50/50 raffle.

First Saturday for library
WAYNE — The First Saturday at the Williams House book sale, boutique and breakfast, will run from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 1, at 14 Old Winthrop Road.
All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.
