1954 – 2016
LEWISTON — Linda Porter, 62, of Orange Street, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Linda was born May 11, 1954, at Augusta General Hospital with her twin sister, Brenda. Linda was one of five children born to Vincent E. Roussel and Lucille M. (Toussaint) Roussel. Linda attended Cony High School, after which she married Peter Porter. It was with Peter that Linda was blessed with her only son, Chad.
Linda had various jobs throughout the years. She was a hard worker with an excellent eye for detail. Her hobbies included cooking, camping and music. Linda found great joy in beano and had many friends with whom she shared that passion.
Linda was known for her outgoing personality and laughter; she had the ability of walking into a room and making everyone smile. Linda touched the lives of everyone she met, always leaving behind memories of great joy and love.
Linda is survived by her son, Chad Porter of Wales; her mother, Lucille Roussel of Augusta; two sisters, Nancy L. Parks of Montana and Lizette L. Roussel of Lisbon Falls; a brother, Marc P. Toussaint of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her twin sister, Brenda; her father, Vincent; and her nephew, Dean.
