• Meetinghouse Park, Farmington, with a procession to the Olsen Student Center at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Guest speakers from the community will share their thoughts on the issue of domestic violence in society.

The vigils are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend and show their support.

This year Safe Voices’ theme for Domestic Violence Awareness Month is Use Your Voice (#useyourvoice), with a focus on the idea that everyone has the power to use their voice to create social change and to help end domestic violence.

Those in domestic violence situations can call Safe Voices’ 24-hour helpline at 1-800-559-2927.
