AUBURN — The breakfast scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 2, at American Legion Post No. 31, 426 Washington St. North, has been canceled.

Thomas College rep visiting local schools Monday

A representative from Thomas College will visit the following schools on Monday, Oct. 3:

Edward Little High School, Auburn: 8:30 a.m.

Lewiston High School: 10 a.m.

Poland Regional High School, Poland: 11:15 a.m.

The representative will meet with students to discuss the college’s academic and sports programs, and its residential life opportunities.

Lewiston Seniors cribbage winners

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners Sept. 22 at the Lewiston Memorial Armory were, first place, Ike Lecompte; second place, Don Mailliette and Roger Labbe; third place, Cecile Bussiere and Larry Lefebvre; fourth place, Jeannine Labbe and Ed Madden; and fifth place, Roger St. Pierre and Mickie Farnum.

The Seniors play on Thursdays.

Annual Apple Fair Oct. 8

AUBURN — The West Auburn Congregational Church will hold its sixth Annual Apple Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

The event will include a luncheon served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than 5.

There will be a bake sale, pumpkins, corn stalks and apples for sale, as well as crafts by congregation members.

Bill Hiss, assistant pastor, will give guided tours of the historic church throughout the event.
