RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Yvonne M. Barrieau of Rumford on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford, with the Rev. Nathan March as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Hosea,” “Because the Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Eye has Not Seen” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” The eulogy was given by her granddaughter, Heidi Broomhall. The first reading from the Old Testament from the Book of Wisdom was proclaimed by her son, Tim Barrieau. The second reading from the New Testament from the Letter of Paul to the Romans was proclaimed by her grandson, Brett Barrieau. The Prayer of the Faithful were proclaimed by her grandson, Andrew Broomhall. Presenting the gifts was her granddaughter, Kacy Barrieau. Interment in the future will be at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. A reception followed downstairs in the parish hall of the church and was served by St. Timothy Circle, Daughters of Isabella. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
